Review ~ Daughter of Ishmael by Diane Stringam Tolley

Growing up around prophets and prophecies, Hannah and her sisters are excited to be betrothed to sons of Lehi and to journey to the promised land. But now with her people dividing, Hannah must choose between her faith and her family. Should she follow Nephi again, or stay with her husband, Lemuel, and her son in sin and misery? This compelling novel tells the familiar scripture story from an illuminating new perspective.

Chellz Review~
I purchased the Book Daughter of Ishmael by Diane Stringam Tolley for my mother as a gift.  It seemed like a book she would enjoy.  I was right, she read the book in 3 days and when I saw her next she told me I needed to read it.  Literally, she put it in my hands and insisted I take the book.

After the first chapter I wasn't sure I wanted to continue but because of my mother's insistence I continued on.  Daughter of Ishmael is historical fiction about the family of Ishmael which joins the family of Lehi on their journey to the Promised Land.  (to read the story of Lehi please read the Book of Mormon, 1st and 2nd Nephi)

This story is very well written.  After the first chapter, I had a hard time putting it down.  The facts are easily recognizable from the fiction.  I LOVED this story.  The ending is the best.  Pick up Daughter of Ishmael from Cedar Fort Publishing!!!!
