THE GAME OF HIS LIFE
Hockey player Ben Westmore has some serious skills---on and off the ice---and he's not above indulging in the many perks of NHL stardom. When a night in Vegas ends in disaster, he realizes two things: 1) it's time to lie low for a while, and 2) he needs a lawyer---fast. But the smoking-hot woman who walks into his office immediately tests all his good intentions.
Olivia Davis doesn't need anyone derailing her career---or her dreams of starting a family---least of all a skirt-chasing player like Ben. But soon he's unleashing a full-court press to convince her that he's the real deal. She's slowly falling for his sweet, rugged charm, but with so much on the line, Olivia has to decide whether Ben can truly change---or if he's just playing the game.

Jewelz Review~
This was a fun story. While it's part of a series, it reads as a stand alone. Ben Westmore is a delight. The guy has had his ups and downs - he's a successful hockey player, but he hasn't managed to win the Stanley Cup just yet. He's a good looking guy who likes to keep relationships casual, but somehow he's found himself married to a girl he doesn't even know & can't recall actually marrying. Hmm...
Olivia is a successful divorce attorney who has made a name for herself representing the ex-wives of several major athletes. While she's had great success in work, the thing she wants more than anything is a family. And no one is going to ruin that opportunity for her. Especially a too-good-looking hockey player who wouldn't know commitment if it slapped him in the face.
Ben and Olivia are one of those couples that you'd never pair up on paper, but in reality they're perfect for each other. They've both been hurt and they both have weaknesses they mask with their workplace successes. It's so fun watching them interact with each other - trying to ignore the obvious attraction, making excuses, and then ultimately admitting what's been right in front of their faces all along.
Maybe This Love is a delightful love story that kept me turning pages late into the night. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
FYI ~ language, open-door intimate scenes
