Red Scarlet is the 3rd book in the "Hindsight" series by Kelly Martin. It's a unique series - it's written in 2nd person. The narrator is talking to "you" throughout each book. In this most recent installement we find out who "you" are and catch a glimpse into the role you play in the drama that has unfolded. I must admit, Red Scarlet caught me off guard. I didn't anticipate the ending or even some of the major plot points. Kudos to Ms Martin for writing some amazing plot twists that while unexpected, are absolutely perfect.
Picking up where Black Heart left off, the reader learns what happened to J that fateful night. We know that Oliver Weston has already committed murder. We know that his father took the wrap. While he knows Oliver's secret, Walker has gotten himself into a situation where he can't protect J and he's at a breaking point. When I reached the end and learned how the events play out and the role "you" the reader play, I was nothing short of shocked - in a good way.
Mystery/suspense at its finest. I cannot wait for the next season of "Hindsight"!
