Synopsis via Goodreads:
Falling hard never felt so good.
Pair skaters Courtney and Mark have
one shot left at their Olympic dream. They vow not to let anything get
in their way, especially not Josh and Stephanie, the wealthy and
talented brother and
sister team.
The heart doesn’t always listen to reason, though...
The
more time Courtney spends with sweet, shy Josh, the harder she falls
for him. But they are on opposite sides of the competition, and their
futures are headed in opposite directions. Will their friendship blossom
into more or are their paths too different to cross?
Excerpt-
I turned to Josh with my arms folded
and my head cocked to the side. “So, you’re an athlete, a
dancer and a musician? If you tell me
you’re a skilled artist, I’m gonna have to hate you.”
He laughed. “I can barely draw a stick
figure.”
“Whew.” I swiped my hand across my
forehead.
“Even if I was the next Picasso,
though, I wouldn’t have told you.” He paused and held my gaze. “I don’t like
the idea of you hating me.”
My stomach fluttered. Josh didn’t
often make extended eye contact, but whenever he locked those sinfully blue
eyes on mine, I became a mesmerized puddle of swoon.

Tifferz Take~
Courtney and Mark are skating partners. They are working hard to get on the Olympic
team. The Tucker’s are the competition. A run in reveals the Tuckers are making
a move on Courtney and Mark literally. Courtney is dating Kyle and thinks she
is ready to move the relationship ahead. Things actually go south and they
break up. Courtney and Mark seem to be working a bit harder now that
Josh and Stephanie Tucker are around. Courtney and Josh become better acquainted. He comes to work a
few times and is helping her with the Tango!
It seems Court is falling for Josh , but is the feeling mutual? We shall
see. Stephanie on the other hand is … WOW I have no words for her. Every time
she is mentioned I hold my breath as I never know what mean thing she is going
to say or do. Ms. Cassar is funny and
call them as she see them! Josh and
Court end up hiding the relationship they have because they fear the drama that
will unfold from their skating partners. Once the cat is out of the bag. Drama!
But, it is nice to have things out in the open. But may obstacles still need to
be overcome. Court gets some rejection
she was not counting on and it stings. I was shocked at how things turned out
at Nationals and the events that transpired after. This page turner kept me on
the seat of my chair. How will things turn out? You need to read this enchanting story that
had me from page one to the last word read! I look forward to the next
installment!!! This story is a wonderful
in the series but stands alone nicely.
Jewelz Review~
Crossing the Ice was a delightful read! I have always been a fan of figure skating & couples is perhaps my favorite. I remember watching Ice Castles repeatedly as a girl and then Cutting Edge as a teenager. Some of my all-time favorite movies! Crossing the Ice was a wonderful story that reminded me of my favorite ice skating movies and my obsession with the sport during the Winter Olympics.
I enjoyed watching Courtney and Josh's relationship unfold. It was so sweet that he had been crushing on her for years, but had never had the courage to ask her out. I have a sweet spot for shy guys. Their connection on the ice was the perfect complement to their sweet relationship. Of course there was appropriate drama coming from their skating partners and other outside forces. I can't imagine the stress and inner turmoil created by dating your competitor for a spot on the Olympic team. I was pleased with the realistic elements to the story - it wasn't all flowers & chocolates with everything going perfectly. I did get my happy ending though I wanted more, and hopefully we'll get another book that tells more of their story.

Just FYI – This does contain a sprinkling of swear words but no sex.
