Tifferz Take~
This is the first book in the Aliso Creek Series. We meet Gemma a women who is in a relationship that has become a bit stale. Gemma is a bit adverse to change and as she realizes this does something about it. I like this part. It is always fun to shop and get a new look! As she takes this step her relationship takes another route. I think that is for the best. I was shocked at how and where the break up happened. But Gemma picks herself up and goes to on her trip with her friends. She talks to  Drew one of her best friends since high school. Drew and Gemma end up spending a lot of time together! Drew and Gemma take the friendship they have to the next level!!! It is so exciting and new but will this last or will it end up ruining the friendship? You must read it to find out. I found this story to be endearing and fun and "picture perfect"!!! I am thrilled to read this series and am off to read the next book.

Just FYI- This book does not have any sex or swearing in it.

Jewelz Review~
I was so excited to read this series as Aliso Creek is near my home. Gemma is a sucessful florist who is looking forward to her traditional Spring Break vacation at a beach house in Dana Point with her old friends from high school. As she's planning her getaway she realizes that she hasn't changed much at all since high school - her hair is the same and her clothes are all several years old and very conservative. On a whim she heads to the mall and not only spends more money on new clothes than she ever has in her life, but she goes to the salon and gets a cute pixie haircut too.

That night she meets her boyfriend Randy who not only doesn't say anything about her new look except "What did you do to your hair?" but also goes on to break up with her. Needless to say, Gemma is a bit insecure and down-hearted when she arrives at the beach house. Fortuantely Liz is overly enthusiastic about Gemma's new look and Drew can't seem to keep his eyes off her. Before she knows it her best friend from high school is no longer in the "friend zone" but is passionately kissing her and they are well on their way to a "picture perfect" relationship.

This was an adorable, sweet story and I look forward to the rest of the series!

FYI~ we received copies in exchange for our honest "reviewz"
