Review ~ Aliso Creek Series ~ The Daisy Chain

Welcome to the Complete Aliso Creek Series Box Set

Liz, Gemma, Arie, Jess, and Drew have been best friends since creating the “Five” at Aliso Creek High School. But that was over ten years ago, and each is still trying to find that perfect someone . . . if perfect is even possible.

This box set includes all 5 stories:

THE DAISY CHAIN: Jess Giles does find her perfect match, but since Charlie’s several years older than she, they never have a moment of harmony from his adult kids who protest the marriage. When Charlie dies in a tragic accident, his kids add insult to injury and sue Jess for her share of the inheritance. The only person Jess trusts for financial advice is Charlie’s financial planner, Preston Michaels. Just talking to Preston on the phone makes Jess feel flustered, yet strangely comfortable at the same time, so she puts off meeting him for as long as possible. When Jess has to attend the formal hearing, she’s about to find out if the man she’s been talking to over the phone for several months lives up to the voice that she’s grown attached to.

Tifferz Take~
Jess is a recent widow and is having a mourning her late husband. Her friends Gemma, Arie and Liz are doing what they can. But it seems Preston Michaels will be the one to help Jess the most. Once they actually meet. You see this endearing story has some unexpected events that make the story pop.
Preston is so understanding of Jess and is just what she needs. He seems to be in tune to Jess and is able to fix the issue. I was a little sad her friends didn't get to meet Preston. That would have been great. But will guilt of moving on of her late husband mess with this relationship? Read it to find out. I am totally keen on this Aliso Creek Series!! I am hooked so off to read the next book!

Just FYI- This book has no swearing or sex.

Jewelz Review~
A year after his passing, Jess is still mourning her late husband, Charlie. Despite their age difference, they had truly been in love - despite what his two grown children thought. Preston Michaels, who was Charlie's financial advisor, has been helping Jess with a lawsuit Charlie's children filed in opposition the inheritance Jess was left when he died. After working together via phone, text, and email for a year they finally meet in person. Preston is as good looking as his voice is sexy, and he truly cares about Jess' well-being. Their story is sweet and pulls at your heart strings. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

Chellz Review~

As this series progresses we now learn about Jess, who was briefly mentioned in the first story.  For the past year Jess has been mourning the sudden passing of her husband.  She has cut herself off from most of her friends except Arie, and she also talks to her financial advisor, Preston.  Preston has become a friend to Jess.  She looks forward to his phone calls and unbeknownst to her, he also loves the phone relationship.  When Arie convinces Jess to actually attend a meeting with Preston, he takes the opportunity to spend time with her.  Jess knows she is emotional and does not want to betray the love she has for her deceased husband.  Will Jess continue to wallow in sadness or will she see if she can find love again with Preston?  Enjoy the friendship of the Aliso Creek girls as the story of Jess is told.
