Blurb~
Lucien Marquess never liked being a vampire. His one wish, to regain
mortality seems a possibility if he can obtain the secrets found in an
ancient book. When Lucien’s search leads him to a small antiques store,
he meets Althea Brynne, a psychic mortal to whom he’s attracted. Lucien
believes the book’s secrets are within his grasp, at least until Adrian
DiBartholomew, a much older, more powerful vampire, gets to the book
first. When Adrian starts playing psychic cat and mouse games with
Althea, games that risk her life, Lucien’s no longer sure the book’s
worth the price. Too bad Althea doesn’t agree with him, and is
determined to beat Adrian at his own game.
Tifferz Take~
I love a great vampire book and this one contained many twists that I did not see happening. It is purely unique! I loved every aspect of this page turning book. I found myself entranced within the first few pages. Lucien and Thea learn to trust as they uncover the mystery of the ancient book they are searching for. Adrian is a bad guy and I mean really bad. I would not want to cross his path. I like how determined Thea is in defeating Adrian. I was so extremely happy with the ending for Thea and Lucien. But, I still had questions as to what happened with Adrian. I will be reading more from the very talented Tara Manderino.

Book Blast - The Orphan and the Thief by M.L. LeGette
The Orphan and the Thief
An adventure that will keep you and your kids spellbound.
Toad thought it’d be easy to steal from Mr. Edward P. Owl. Unfortunately for Toad, he isn’t the best of thieves. Caught in the act, he’s in more trouble than ever before. Now to save his hide, Toad must track down five rare potion ingredients for Mr. Owl. Or else. All Melena Snead wants is her family back, but after the Miggens Street Fire, that isn’t very likely. Orphaned and miserable, forced to work in an apothecary, she’s determined to find Milo, her missing brother. No matter what.
When Melena finds Toad ransacking her apothecary, Toad gets a nasty shock: apothecaries don’t carry Mr. Owl’s ingredients. Luckily, Melena’s willing to help, for a price.
With Melena’s pet Spit-Fire dragon and Toad’s enchanted talking beer mug, they embark on a fantastical journey, traveling the country in search of the potion ingredients. But can they gather all of them in time, what with monsters, pirates, and axe-wielding thieves? And if they do, is there an even greater danger waiting for them at the end?
Excerpt:
Panicking, Toad rushed, “Come on, Gent. There’s gotta be somethin’ that ya want! My prices are reasonable!”
“The price is your life,” Mr. Owl stated, gently placing the dragon statue upon the desk.
Mr. Ogg stopped again, his ham-sized hands falling back to his sides. Toad fell silent, too stunned to dare hope that he wasn’t about to be killed.
“Let me explain how this will work, Mr. Toad. If tonight was like any other night I would happily see your neck snapped and toss you out like the bit of filth that you are.” He gave a heavy sigh. “However, the Hickory Guard have become annoyingly tedious ever since that upstart became Captain.”
“Ya mean Dowell?” asked Toad.
“The man has become so inflated with self importance that he’s actually having me followed. Can you imagine? Me?”
“That’s … awful?” said Toad awkwardly, unsure how to respond.
“So, you will forgive me for not wanting to waste Mr. Ogg’s talents on you with so little preplanning.” He gave the window a casual glance. “I’m sure a guard is stationed outside somewhere and disposing of your body without detection will be troublesome to say the least.”
“Pardon me, sir,” Mr. Ogg interrupted, “but it would be no trouble.”
“Ah, Mr. Ogg! How I like you!” Mr. Owl cheered. “Always ready to break a neck. Good fellow!”
“We can stash him in one of the upstairs rooms,” Mr. Ogg continued in his deep, ocean floor voice. “I’ll make sure he won’t bleed.”
“But a body, even in such a large house, will be difficult to hide if Dowell decides to search the place, as he has been hinting at for the last fortnight. No, no, my man. We cannot afford the risk of housing him here.”
Toad sat still in his chair. It wasn’t every day that his own murder was discussed in such a light, conversational manner.
M.L LeGette:
Melissa Lee LeGette has been writing seriously since she was a teen. She loves an old world vibe with a magical twist, and she puts her full focus on creating believable characters--even if they happen to be a talking beer mug. Her books are targeted for children and teens, but have been enjoyed by adults of all ages.
She lives in Georgia where she helps run a family farm, so her nails are a fright.
Praise:
[LeGette is] able to twist her unique fairy-tales to fit the imagination of children and the attention of adults. Five stars ... The Orphan and the Thief is definitely worth reading! -- Abigail / Goodreads Review
M.L. Legette conjures up a captivating magical tale in The Orphan and the Thief. I loved this story and I could not put my Kindle down until I finished the last page. This charming story is so good that it may very well become a classic. -- Karen Dowdall, Author of Delphi Altair: Strange Beginnings

Tifferz Review~
A Perfect Secret is filled with many secrets. Christian has them and so does the lovely Genevieve and her father as well. Love, loss, guilt and heartbreak. Christian rescues a women trying to kill herself and he is shocked and confused at who he finds. The women who broke his heart. Genevieve has endured much at the hand of her husband. Christian is a gentleman and feels the need to help Genevieve. A plan is set in motion and Christian reminds himself frequently that Genevieve is not for him. That she jilted him. A trip to the Scottish border to see Christian’s sister Rachel proves enlightening. Rachel and Genevieve become fast friends. Genevieve becomes a big help to Rachel with her work. Rachel is 32 and unwed. She loves science and has a quick mind and tongue. I really like her. Secret messages are delivered to Genevieve that are positively frightening. So, she finally tells Christian as she feels his life and Rachel’s life are in danger. Another plan is made and this time Christian asks Grant his older brother for help. This is a hard thing for Christian to do, but very necessary. Lord Wickburgh is a mad man and lives are lost and ticks are played. So, will Christian be able to protect Genevieve from her crazy husband? Will they be able to be together? Will all the secrets come out? Will they bring them closer together or tear them apart? Read it to find out. You will be happy you did. This is another brilliant story by Donna Hatch. I found the plot intriguing and I could not stop reading as I had to see how things played out. I was thrilled with all the surprises throughout the story but especially the surprises at the end. A thrilling story that I would recommend to anyone who loves romance.
Just FYI~ This has no swearing or sexual situations.
Chlez Review~
I was SO excited to read this story. Ms. Hatch has written a wonderful continuation of the Amesbury family. While this is book 3 in the Rogue Hearts series it can easily stand alone. As we have met each of the boys, Cole, Jared, Grant and of course Christian, Christian has always been known as the "Perfectly Perfect Christian", so the title is most fitting. I loved how Christian's story unfolded and was thrilled at the early arrival of Cole and his wife Alicia. The sisters have been mostly in the background of the previous stories so I welcomed and enjoyed Rachel having such a large part in Christian's story. I love how these brothers come to each others aid so quickly when the challenges arise. If you have read either of the books in the series make sure you pick up the 3rd, and I am anxiously looking forward to Grant's story.
Jewelz Review~
I absolutely LOVED A Perfect Secret! I'll admit - I'm a Donna Hatch fan. I fell in love with the Amesbury brothers when I read her first book: The Stranger She Married and then with the second book The Guise of a Gentleman I was hooked. And I waited, and waited for the next book int he Rogue Hearts Series. Rather impatiently I might add. Nonetheless, I was not disappointed when Christian's story was finally downloaded to my iPad and I began reading.
Christian Amesbury has it rough. His whole life he's been teased and tormented by his older brothers for being "Perfectly Perfect Christian". How is a rough & tumble boy - and then adebonaire young man - supposed to make it in the world if he's known as "perfectly perfect Christian"? The plight of being the youngest brother! In all seriousness, he does have a secret and he has a heavy weight that he carries with him. Like so many people - Christian seems to have it all, but in reality he carries a heavy burden than not many people know about or see.
Sweet Genevieve Marshall has won the heart of Christian Amesbury, but fate has a way of messing up our best-laid plans. Enter Lord Wickburgh - a more evil individual I can't quite imagine. After a year of marriage to Lord Wickburgh Genevieve is no longer the sweet, vivacious young woman Christian fell in love with. His heart is still broken and he intends to protect it - but he cannot help but be compelled to rescue the young woman he once loved.
All the Amesbury brothers are back - as they should be. These brothers love and support one another despite their differences. And the have such fun while doing it! I just love how Cole and Jared insist on being part of the adventure. And let me just take a moment to say that I LOVE GRANT! I needed his story a few years ago - that man is so intriguing!
So - grab a copy of A Perfect Secret - now! You will not be disappointed. And if you haven't read the first two books in the series, grab them too. This book can be read without having read the first two books, but you'll want to read them all - they are that good!
FYI - this is a clean read

Surviving Scotland by Kristin Vayden
Only love is strong enough to grasp what it was never meant to have.
Elle can’t deny that Ioan is handsome. That is, until he opens his mouth. How can someone so masculine and striking be so irritating? Yet part of her knows that if his sarcastic and teasing temper changed, she’d lose her heart.
Ioan knows that Elle is untouchable. To protect his heart, he keeps her at arms length with incessant teasing and a quick wit. She can never know the truth. But like a moth drawn to the flame he can’t resist her. Indeed he already burned.
When the Jacobites attack Carnasserie castle, the Black Watch come to assist. Though Elle has her own personal battle to win, they both with learn that Surviving Scotland isn’t for the faint of heart…
KristinVayden wrote a great love story. The love between Ella and Ioan cannot be thwarted. Elle's Uncle does all in his power to bring to pass the marriage he wants; not just for Ella but for his own needs too. I enjoyed the teasing and passion between Elle and Ioan. Being caught is my favorite part. Ioan's cousin Cullon was a great addition to the story. While I found this story somewhat difficult to read because of the Scottish brogue, and I found there were times I was not sure what was being said, I did enjoy the story of Elle as she travels thru time to find her happily ever after.

Fire and Ice by Michele Barrow-Belisle
Adventure wasn’t something Lorelei Alundra was interested in. Gifted with two other-worldly talents for singing and healing, she’s always shied away from her gifts and the spotlight, preferring quiet anonymity, over attention and fame. But when she meets the en-igmatic Adrius, with his dark and dangerous mystique and eyes that could see into her soul, her uneventful life becomes irrevocably altered.
Adrius turns up in every one of her classes and knows more about her than any newcomer should. Including the condition of her mother who is suffering from a mysterious illness. Accepting his offer to help leads her into a terrifying and thrilling world, where Elves are even hotter than Legolas, and Faeries.... are nothing like Tinkerbell. The two magical beings are fire and ice opposites. One Lorelei can’t help falling for, and the other she's compelled to be with.
Now she’s trapped, expected to prevent a war between witches and faeries, or forfeit her mother’s life. Nothing is what it seems. Not her family. Not the Fey. Not even Adrius, whose feelings for her balance precariously between desire and danger. Despite her better judgment, she can’t say away from him.
As secrets unravel and unsettling truths are revealed, Lorelei must fight to save much more than her mother’s life. One mistake could put the fate of his world, and her soul in jeop-ardy.
But hey, no pressure… right.
Chelz Review~
I enjoyed this story of Lorelei. She is a teenager with some amazing gifts and a past that has been hidden from her. Her home life is dysfunctional and I love how everything comes full circle at the end of the story. Adrius walks into Lorelei's life and turns it upside down, in so many ways. Adrius is very complex as a character and I am often confused, like Lorelei, in his actions. This is a great read; one, this is not a quick story and two, the story takes you into another world. I am looking forward to the next book in the trilogy to see if the connection I made is correct.

Book Blast - Paris Cravings by Kimberley Montpetit
Paris Cravings
Can life really turn on a dime,
a missed bus—
or a stuck pastry shop door?
Chloe Dillard’s life has always been complicated. Her mother is a neurotic romance novelist and her boyfriend, Mathew, has been pressuring her to go “all the way”.
But after The Worst Night of Her Life, Chloe escapes on her Senior Class trip to the swoon-worthy city of Paris which takes her mind off her troubles—temporarily. On the final leg of her dream trip, Chloe squeezes in one final run for a last-minute box of decadent pastries. Add a stuck door, subtract a broken four-inch heel from her cute strappy sandals, and Chloe ends up one stuck girl on the bakery shop floor with a sprained ankle.
Rescued by the shop owner’s dreamy son with chocolate-syrup eyes, the beautiful city of Paris suddenly becomes Chloe’s personal secret adventure. And even though Jean-Paul, the oh-so-kind La Patisserie shop boy is the gentlemanly guy Chloe has always dreamed of, even he has a girlfriend.
The police are tracking her down as a run-away, Mom’s having a nervous breakdown over her daughter’s “disappearance”, and Chloe’s just trying to have a Happily-Ever-After even as her dreams with Matt are swirling down the drain.
Could being lost in the city of Paris be just what the doctor ordered? What’s a girl to do in the most romantic city in the world?
~Excerpt~
Dear Diary:
I have a confession to make: I’ve become a total idiot over French pastries.
They’re my new favorite food.
My new-found edible souvenir.
My new favorite sin.
Drizzled chocolate, sugar-dusted raspberries, flaky crusts with perfect crimped edges. I’ll have to run a marathon when I get back home to New York just to burn off my new five pounds. French beignets are the worst temptation. Those yeasty chocolate-filled pastries call to me the way Prada handbags call to my mother from Fifth Avenue.
Dunkin Donuts—so yesterday.
Climbing the Eiffel tower, running through miles of hallways at the Louvre Museum, gourmet lunches on the Seine River . . . yes, those are all must-sees . . . if you don’t mind vertigo-dizzying heights and enough paintings to saturate your brain for the rest of your life.
But once I discovered La Patisserie, the rest of Paris became a mere backdrop for my guilty pleasure. What’s a girl to do?
Author Kimberley Montpetit
Kimberley Montpetit once spent all her souvenir money at the La Patisserie shops when she was in Paris—on the arm of her adorable husband. The author grew up in San Francisco, another swoon-worthy city, loves all things Parisian and chocolate and lives in a small town along the Rio Grande with her family.
Kimberley has won many awards for her work, including the Southwest Book Award, the Whitney Award, the Arizona/New Mexico Book Award, is a Crystal Kite Finalist (SCBWI) and included in the Bank Street College Best Books of the Year.
She once stayed in a haunted castle tower room at Borthwick Castle in Scotland, sailed on the Seine in Paris, walked the beaches of Normandy, eaten in numerous French cafes, ridden a camel in Petra, Jordan, sunbathed on Waikiki, shopped the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, and spent the night in an old Communist hotel in Bulgaria.
She adores all baked goodies; brownies, éclairs, donuts, tarts, and pie, and makes a lot of chocolate chip cookies while revising.
Kimberley is, of course, hard at work on her next novel(s).

Wolves At The Door Shapes Of Autumn: Book Two by Veronica Blade

Blurb~
NOTE FROM THE PUBLISHER: As with any Veronica Blade book, this is a ROMANCE NOVEL, meaning it's romance FIRST and everything else is secondary. Rated PG-13 for sexual situations and mild profanity.
THIS IS BOOK #2 IN THE SHAPES OF AUTUMN SERIES
Different species. Mortal enemies. It'll never work, but they'll die trying.
See the book trailer: http://youtu.be/GEXgVD1NblU
Tifferz Take~
Wolves at the door pick up right where we left off in book
one. Autumn has just learned she is a
shape shifter and she is running through the forest with her
boyfriend Zack. Who is planning to leave Autumn after graduation to protect
her. So, Autumn is a shape shifter and Zack a wolf. I enjoyed when they are
morphed into animal form as they can speak to each other telepathically. Autumn and Zack are kinda breaking rules as
shape shifters are not to socialized with werewolves unless they are slaves.
So, they could get in big trouble should someone tell the werewolf king.
It was interesting to see how Autumn panic when running into
other wolves who maybe scouts for the wolf king yet Zack seemed to keep his
cool. They have a great balance. It is great how Autumn can be a cheetah, squirrel,
hawk, wolf or any animal. That is really quit cool.
Autumn’s lovely parents want to move her yet again and right
before prom again. She is really upset
and expresses that she hates moving and wants to go to prom and graduate.
Autumn holds her ground and stays. Her mom leaves shortly after. With Zack’s mom very sick. All are worried
for her but she keeps refusing to go to the hospital.
Lives are endangered and people die. To be honest I was surprised with the turn of events that
unfold. Secrets pile up and the
thrilling ride continues. I would highly recommend this book! Veronica Blade
has out done herself and I am eager for the next installment in the Shapes of
Autumn Series
Just FYI~ This does have some mild swearing. It does not contain any sex but sex is talked about.

Excerpt:
“You can’t take him early!” I shouted. “It’s not fair. You made the mistake. You fix
it!”
Slowly, Charles pivoted, eyes spearing mine. “And how is it possible for a human to
hear our conversation?”
My stomach knotted as terror gripped me. I’d just given myself away to a werewolf.
Worse, we’d been making out and breaking a law that carried the death penalty.
Dead girl walking. And since Zack was consorting with a shape-shifter, he wouldn’t
fare any better.
Zack squeezed my hand. “She’s human, but she reads minds.”
“A witch?” The scout tilted his head, narrowing his eyes. “Or she’s something else…
like a shape-shifter. Maybe you were really coming here to morph.” He took a step toward
me, but I couldn’t back up since I was already against the car.
Zack moved in front of me. “She’s human.”
Charles smiled. “If that’s the case, allow me to confirm it.”
“Suit yourself.” Zack moved aside and waved a hand toward me. He appeared
unruffled, but I sensed an undercurrent. I could also hear his heart pounding wildly. I’d bet
anything that Charles could hear it too. He’d know Zack was scared… and lying.
“Thank you. I will.” Charles reached out and brushed my hair away, exposing my
neck. He leaned in and inched toward me. As he inhaled deeply, the amusement faded from
his eyes and they darkened.
Busted.
Zack doesn’t know, I told Charles silently, hoping if he thought I was to blame, it
would keep Zack safe and give him time to run. Two fledglings could never take down a
mature werewolf who was possibly hundreds of years older. He hasn’t learned about shapeshifters
or their scent. He thinks I’m human which is perfectly legal. Punish me, not him.
Charles returned his attention to his recruit. “Your girlfriend just informed me that
you’re ignorant of the fact that she’s a shape-shifter. And that she is the one who should be
punished, not you.”
Zack’s eyes grew wide as he stared at me. What the hell are you doing?
I opened my mouth to keep him from spilling the truth to Charles. Either way, I was
toast. At least this way, one of us might live.
Charles shot us both a crooked smile. “It’s unfortunate both of you will need to be
eliminated.”
“Why? Zack didn’t know about me until you told him!” I hissed.
“If he’s too weak and stupid to detect a shifter, he has no value to the king. No point
in keeping him alive.”
I didn’t think. All I knew was that Zack’s life was in danger. Adrenaline roared
through my body like water through a fire hose and an instant later, I exploded into a grizzly
bear. The force of my morph spiraled Charles backward and he crashed into the thick tree
trunk. Before he had a chance to reorient himself, I was on top of him, my paws on his chest
and my teeth at his throat.
He morphed into a brown wolf and his ancient-strong jaws slashed my flank and
side. Despite catching him by surprise, I was no match for him. Pain burned through my
middle and my power waned.

“Shut up.”
Wes turned off the water and threw a towel over my head, using a little bit too much aggression as he did so. The ass.
When I turned around he brandished a pair of scissors in his hand and a smile I can only describe as way too eager.
“No.” I shook my head. “Hell no.”
“Oh, come on.” He held the scissors up in the air and snipped, “Go big or go home.”
“No.”
“Afraid?” He tilted his head.
“Shit.” I wiped my face with my hands. “Maybe a little.”
“Try having cancer.” His eyes narrowed. “Now stop being a bitch and sit down.”
I shook my head. “Being healthy’s changed you.”

~Ruin~
I'm not your typical girl. I've been running away from the memories that haunt me for so long that depression has become my only comfort. I was content in the darkness...until Wes Michels offered to be my light.
I didn't know that time wasn't my ally -- that every second that ticked past was one step closer to the end of something that was beginning to mean the end of myself. He tried to warn me. He promised me all he was able to offer--each moment as it came--but it would never be enough.
Sometimes when you think it's the end, it's only the beginning. Wes thought he could save me, but in giving me everything, he ruined me. Because after one kiss, one touch, I couldn't--I wouldn't ever be the same.
And from that moment on, his heartbeat became my own.

Day 5 - I Love Rachel Van Dyken Giveaway Feb 8-14
~Fall~
If you look up British in the dictionary…A-list celebrity Jamie Jaymeson’s name would be next to it. Along with charming, witty, man-whore, and a lot of other adjectives that he wouldn’t appreciate being attached to his name. He has everything in the world going for him.
Until fate decides his number’s finally up.
Caught in a compromising position that really wasn’t his fault to begin with (really it wasn’t)—Jaymeson’s been told by his agent to lay low in the one town he swore he’d never return to—the seventh circle of hell, known by its residents as Seaside, Oregon.
Two months? He can do anything for two months. Especially if it means getting a part in the new book-to-movie series that has girls all over the world swooning.
Play nice? Keep it in his pants? Please. He played an alien once—he was going to totally rock it.
Until a certain someone who he may or may not have publicly humiliated—rejected, then humiliated again, suddenly pops up next door.
Self control has a way of flying out the window when the one girl you can’t have—is suddenly dangled right in front of you.
But Priscilla isn’t just off limits—she’s a pastor's daughter and barely legal to boot. So Jaymeson does the one thing he swore he’d never do—he tries to be friends.
With a woman.
Only, it’s exactly what he needs.
Until suddenly, he craves more.
He wants to date her.
She wants to date someone else.
He wants to kiss her.
She asks him to give her lessons for her new boyfriend.
When opposites attract, sometimes the only option you have is to leap—and trust the fact that when you fall—that special someone falls too.

POV from Dani (Fall)
I was sitting next to AD2 and watching my sister get mauled by the sexiest movie star on the planet. If my ribs weren't still so sore from the accident - I'd think I was dreaming.
"Way too much tongue." Demetri shook his head, his hand still covering my eyes.
"Can you not narrate the scene?" I hissed.
"Sorry." He didn't remove his hand. It smelled good. Like coconut. Not that I was leaning into it or anything. All the boys were taken, but it still made my heart flip in my chest a bit. Demetri Daniels had his hand on my face.
My very red face, because I don't care what you say, blushing is necessary when someone as hot as Demetri Daniels is touching a part of your body.
If he was touching my pinky toe - the reaction would be the same.
Someone yelled 'cut' and a little alarm went off. The director walked up to Jaymeson and Pris and said they were going to do another take.
"Really?" I whispered, "They have to do that again?"
Alec peered around Demetri and winked. "Pretty sure it isn't a chore for Jaymeson."
"Ew." I shuddered.
"Aw little sis." Demetri elbowed me. "Not feeling it?"
I shook my head. "It's like watching your parents..." My voice trailed off as I gave an involuntary shudder. My parents weren't there... they were gone. They'd been gone for more than a few months and still... still i was hurting.
"Hey" -Alec walked around Demetri and got on his knees in front of me- "It's going to hurt."
I nodded, praying the tears would stay in. The guys had been nothing but nice to me, I wasn't sure if I was embarrassed or just tired of being sad.
Demetri's hand found mine, he gave it a little squeeze as Alec remained knelt in front of me.
"It's okay to be sad, Dani," Alec whispered, "It helps you process. One day you'll be able to talk about them without crying."
"Promise?" My lower limp trembled.
"Promise." He nodded. "Now, no tears, you're too pretty for tears."
Alec Daniels just said I was pretty. Weird. But my tears suddenly, weren't so hard to hold in. He patted my knee then rose and walked towards the snack area. Demetri had released my hand by then and was watching the scene as it unfolded.
"Quiet on the set!"
Male laughter pierced through the air. Alec was doubled over with another guy next to him slapping him on the back, both were in utter hysterics.
"QUIET ON THE SET!" This time it was screamed louder.
Alec choked and gave a firm nod towards the director mouthing 'sorry.' The guy next to him turned, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
I let out a small gasp as those same twinkling eyes landed on me. He blinked, once, twice, and then turned his mega-watt smile on me.
If I was blushing before - I was burning to death now.
My body went hot all over he was... I couldn't even describe him. I'd never seen someone so... pretty. And I mean pretty. Not your typical rough and gruff movie stars. No tattoos, no piercings, no visible scars, nothing. He was... perfection. A strong jaw lined almost perfect cheekbones. Smooth plump lips, a nose that had to be real because you couldn't fake perfection centered directly on his face. His eyes were... such a pale blue they almost didn't look real.
"Who's that?" I whispered next to me.
But Demetri had gotten up during my stare off with the good-looking guy meaning I was talking to myself.
Alec made his way over to me and sat down. The guy winked at me from the snack bar then turned back around and started talking to one of the assistants.
"Ah" -Alec chuckled- "I see you've noticed Lincoln."
"Lincoln?" I repeated, "Um sure, yeah, you mean the loud guy over there?" With perfect hair and eyes.
"Funny, I could have sworn you almost had a stroke when loud-guy looked in your direction."
I immediately looked down at my feet.
"Lincoln Greene. Angelica Greene's brother," Alec explained, "Look closer."
I shook my head 'no.'
"The reason you recognize him..."
I shrugged.
"He's the face of at least four name brands and is the epitome of a male supermodel."
Oh. That explained the beauty.
"And now he lives here."
"What?" My head snapped up.
"He's co-starring." Alec smiled knowingly. "And as of today... he's looking for a local to show him around the area and help him with his role."
"Oh."
"I offered you." Alec rose from his seat, I tried to trap him and pull him back down but he slipped away, just as Lincoln started walking over to me.
Keep it together, Dani!
"Hey" -he took a seat next to me- "Lincoln Greene." He held out his hand. I stared at it, then shook it, and cursed him for having such soft skin. He was a guy! It should be rough.
"Dani," I croaked.
"I know." He smiled brighter. "I hope it's not a problem, helping me."
"No." I cleared my throa, "Not at all."
"Thank you." He tilted his head as if he had like a cowboy hat or something that was missing, well that and a horse and everything else that went with a cowboy and his manners. And then he was gone. Like a dream.
"End Scene!" someone yelled.
"Dani?" Jaymeson was in front of me. "Everything okay?"
Both he and Pris were staring at me with concern in their eyes.
"Sure." I shuddered, "Just... thinking."
About a boy.
