A Bright Particular Star by Elizabeth Hanbury

What happens when a rebel meets a runaway?

He’s not looking for love...

Confirmed bachelor Theo Cavanagh is dashing and free-spirited. Not for him a career in the clergy, the military or politics - he’s more interested in wine and horses. But when Theo happens upon a pretty but thoroughly exasperating young fugitive, he soon finds himself caught up in her adventures, and in a passion that can’t be denied.

She has to search her heart...

Unconventional Sophie Devereux is more comfortable climbing trees than the social ladder. An audacious escape from scheming relatives is only the start of Sophie’s mission to achieve a long-held dream, but Sophie carries a secret that inspires hatred, envy and greed. She can’t outrun the danger that stalks her, or her powerful response to Theo which leaves Sophie shaken to the core and questioning her deepest, most enduring desire.
Tifferz Take~  I found A Bright Particular Star a breath of fresh air. I was swept back to 1817 and loved every moment of it. I liked how Sophie is fun and impulsive and speaks her mind. I was cracking up throughout the story. What a fun read. I like the mystery in the story as well as the relationships. I like how Theo was gallant and Sophie drove him crazy. I also like how loyal Sophie and Olivia are to each other. Those girls had suffered much. Now Luc I was not sure what he was about. I just felt like I could not trust Perry. Ms. Hanbury pulls the reader along with vivid details and I felt like I was watching a movie. I felt like I was there.  I have discovered a new author and want to read more from her. Overall a brilliant read.   Just FYI this does not contain any sex or swearing and only contains minimal violence.   source~ Publisher for review!   you can pick up the kindle book here   you can pick up the ebook here
