Intentions of the Earl Blurb~

Will he secure his future by ruining hers, or will she ruin his plans by securing him? A new twist on the old fortune hunter plot puts an impoverished earl in a position to gain his fortune only by ruining an innocent's reputation without offering marriage. The innocent he's selected, however, has no plans to settle for anything less than marriage and will go to almost any length to secure him.

With no other means for an income, the impoverished Andrew Black, Earl of Townson, makes an agreement that will put a definite end to his eight year poverty streak. But, in order to gain his fortune he must do only one simple thing: ruin an innocent young lady’s reputation enough to make her flee to America.

Brooke Banks isn’t interested in marriage, or so she thinks. She came to London to have a good time, and that’s exactly what she’s doing. Widely known for her tendency to flout the rules, she suspects nothing when a handsome stranger appears on her doorstep.

Thirteen days, a handful of kisses and one scandalous situation later, Andrew and Brooke will have to choose to stick to their original plans, or decide if a life together is worth the risk.

To Win His Wayward Wife Blurb~
Rose Gordon is a USA Today bestselling author and writer of eight bestselling unusually unusual historical romances that have been known to include scarred heroes, feisty heroines, marriage-producing scandals, far too much scheming, naughty literature and always a sweet happily-ever-after that when combined will hopefully make you laugh! When not escaping to another world via reading or writing a book, she spends her time chasing two young boys around the house, being hunted by wild animals, or sitting on the swing in the backyard where she has to use her arms as shields to deflect projectiles AKA: balls, water balloons, sticks, pinecones, and anything else one of them picks up to hurl at his brother who just happens to be hiding behind her.

The Reluctant Bachelorette by Rachael Anderson

Unknowingly cast as the bachelorette for her town’s charity event, Taycee Emerson wants out. Especially when she discovers her old teenage crush, Luke Carney, is one of the bachelors and it's up to the viewers--not her--to decide which bachelors stay or go.

Coerced into participating, Taycee does what any self-preserving girl would do. She launches a subtle attack on Luke’s good name with the hope of getting him voted off the show. Unfortunately, Luke's an eye-for-an-eye kind of guy, and when he discovers what she's up to, it means revenge.

But when their pranks go south, will they screw up any chance they have at a future together, or will they be able to forgive and forget and prove that love really does conquer all?

Tifferz Take~

I was so excited to read this story! This is my first novel by Rachael Anderson! I will tell you I think the cover is so cute and the title very fitting! Okay on to the story. I absolutely LOVED this story. I watch the show the bachelorette and bachelor! I never miss a show as I have my hubby record it. So I was tickled pink when I was able to read this story. I like how Ms. Anderson made this story her own. She made some changes that make things more interesting than the show. But even if you don't you can not go wrong with this story. Taycee is feisty small town girl who knows how to have fun. She has had a crush on Luke forever and he ends up on the show. I was laughing as that took place. Anyways, we get to see Taycee go on some fun dates, romantic dates, some very awkward dates. I felt during this show that Taycee grew, learned about herself and what she wants and sees her mistakes. I think Luke is so fun. I liked seeing him in some uncomfortable situations and seeing him be himself. Sweet. Though he is not perfect and I liked that!  I thought Ms. Anderson was clever with the retaliation Luke has on Taycee. If you want a heartfelt  story that is filled with romance, spittle, mud fight, stubborn horses and much much more then this is the read for you.  This is a wonderful read I will always cherish and read many times in the future!  I am stoked to discover another awesome author!

Just FYI~ This DOES NOT contain any swearing or sex.

There Goes The Bride by Holly McQueen

Happily ever after isn’t always what you expect… Polly Atkins, a Londoner living in New York City, is headed back across the pond for her wedding, a grand affair that has her older sister, Bella, in a whirlwind of excitement. Bella can’t wait to take over the wedding plans—and neither can Polly’s best friend, Grace, whose life as a wife, housekeeper, and mother is making her feel older than her twenty-eight years. She’s desperate to see Polly settle down in the same city—and the same life.

The only one who isn’t bursting with enthusiasm is Polly. Which is why, before things can get any more chaotic, she calls the whole thing off and lets go of the most perfect man on the planet. There’s no way that Polly is going to tell anyone why she’s changed her mind. Some secrets are best kept hidden. But Grace and Bella are determined to get Polly and her fiancÉ back together if it’s the last thing they do. After all, solving someone else’s problems has got to be better than dealing with your own.

Tifferz Take~
I think the cover of There Goes The Bride This is my first novel by Holly McQueen. After reading the blurb I was hooked. I thought this story would be told from Polly's point of view. But it was told from the view of Grace Polly's best friend and Bella Polly's older sister. I was surprised at how much I liked reading the story from their point of view. Okay Polly calls off her wedding a month before it takes place. Grace and Bella want to help Polly and fix her problems. The only problem is Polly is not talking to anyone. I have to say my mind was thinking all kinds of reasons for Polly to call off the wedding. I was a bit frustrated that I had to wait till the very end to find out why Polly called off the wedding. I was not surprised by what she did I was surprised with who. I liked getting to know all three girls.  This story is filled with secrets, lies, cheating, deceit, misunderstandings, love, loss, heartbreak, forgiveness and happy ever afters. Overall a fun read. I would like to read more from Holly McQueen!

Just FYI~ This book does contain swearing and reference to sex but no detail.

Guest Post by Helga Stipa Madland

My travelogue Dachshunds Can Fly is about a dachshund, but my humorous mystery novel Turtle Bay is not about turtles. I named it that because we visited the famous Turtle Bay Resort on the north shore of Oahu.  It struck me as a great setting for a mystery. Some of the characters have real life models, especially the detective’s twelve year old twin daughters Myra and Maya. They were inspired by my granddaughter Sydney, who is now a sophomore in college. Some years ago, my husband and I went on a cruise with her parents and brother. Sydney was thirteen at the time and was hilarious. I was especially delighted when she ordered escargots and actually ate them, adding however, that she would probably not do that again for quite a while.

Questor the dachshund sadly died two years ago. He is actually a mixture of himself and his predecessor The Little Dog, hero of my travelogue. A couple of months ago Maxwell, a wildly energetic two year old dachshund joined our household. It is a zoo, another dog, five cats, and lots of plants. Oh well, I am retired and it keeps me entertained.

Blogging is new for me. Hope it doesn’t show.

Turtle Bay by Helga Stipa Madland

A robbery and the disappearance of an English professor at the famous Turtle Bay resort in Oahu, Hawaii keep Detective James Kahamala of the Honolulu Police Department and his family, twin daughters Myra and Maya, Aunt Beatrice, and dachshund Questor on their toes. Follow their adventures into English Department politics and family complications. Ultimately, the dachshund saves the day. A "whimsical" mystery, not to be missed!

Hym and Hur by Phillip Frey

In this fantasy-comedy Hym and Hur are a young couple who never age and have been in love for more than a century. They also possess an array of magical abilities, two of which are either to play pranks on humankind or to perform good deeds. Enacting both at the same time is now what gets them into trouble, especially since it's the character of Death they must deal with to bring their plans to fruition.

The prank Hym and Hur have come up with must first be agreed upon by Death, who happens to be a rambunctious, difficult character. Once agreed upon, the prank is set in motion. Hym and Hur soon discover Death had tricked them into a contract with dire consequences for all of us.

During their attempt to break the contract, Hym and Hur try to save the relationship of an earthbound couple, knowing they are truly meant for each other. A good deed that will bring Hym and Hur even more trouble.

Tifferz Take~
Hym and Hur is a fun fantasy read and a page turner. I enjoyed watching Hym and Hur play a joke on L.A.. They think it will all be good but along the way are some unexpected surprises. Death is a guy that takes advantage of any situation. I also like that Death got a holiday!  Archie a struggling artist and Sarah have some issue to work out. It would be fun to see what other mischief Hym, Hur and Death get into. A quick entertaining read!

Just FYI~ This does contain some swearing and no sex.

The Twelve Days to Christmas by Michele Gorman

"What if his proposal had an expiration date?"

Hannah’s in a bit of a pickle. In twelve days she flies from Hong Kong to the US with Sam, where he’s finally going to meet her parents… and ask to marry her.

Since overcoming a rather rocky patch in their relationship (which was totally his fault), he really is a new man, and they’re completely in love. The problem is, she feels panicky every time she contemplates matrimony. Which is perfectly normal, isn’t it? Isn’t it?! She has no idea but she’s got to find out before he pops the question... because she’s not 100% sure she’s going to say yes. Which will make for a very uncomfortable family holiday. He’s got to ask her before they go. So Operation Proposal begins.

As time ticks down to their flight, Hannah realizes that her own secrets are threatening their future. Before she can be happy with Sam, she’s got a lot to learn about herself in the twelve days to Christmas.

  Tifferz Take~

This is the third book in The Single in the City series. I have not read the first two books and felt like it stood alone nicely. This is also my first read by Michele Gorman. I do want to read the first two books as they are all connected. Hannah she is great and cracks me up. I like that she is excited yet a bit jittery about a possible proposal from Sam her boyfriend. I found her self evaluation funny and real. I felt that she worked things through and grew in the process. Her friends are amazing and help Hannah figure things out. A story of love, lies and will things work out? My favorite parts are the jellyfish scene and the epilogue. The Twelve Days to Christmas is a wonderful read that I will be reading again! I am hooked on Michele Gorman and I love to find new authors and she is on my must read list.

Just FYI~ This does contain one swear word and talk of sex toys but no sex.

A Bright Particular Star by Elizabeth Hanbury

What happens when a rebel meets a runaway?

He’s not looking for love...

Confirmed bachelor Theo Cavanagh is dashing and free-spirited. Not for him a career in the clergy, the military or politics - he’s more interested in wine and horses. But when Theo happens upon a pretty but thoroughly exasperating young fugitive, he soon finds himself caught up in her adventures, and in a passion that can’t be denied.

She has to search her heart...

Unconventional Sophie Devereux is more comfortable climbing trees than the social ladder. An audacious escape from scheming relatives is only the start of Sophie’s mission to achieve a long-held dream, but Sophie carries a secret that inspires hatred, envy and greed. She can’t outrun the danger that stalks her, or her powerful response to Theo which leaves Sophie shaken to the core and questioning her deepest, most enduring desire.
Tifferz Take~  I found A Bright Particular Star a breath of fresh air. I was swept back to 1817 and loved every moment of it. I liked how Sophie is fun and impulsive and speaks her mind. I was cracking up throughout the story. What a fun read. I like the mystery in the story as well as the relationships. I like how Theo was gallant and Sophie drove him crazy. I also like how loyal Sophie and Olivia are to each other. Those girls had suffered much. Now Luc I was not sure what he was about. I just felt like I could not trust Perry. Ms. Hanbury pulls the reader along with vivid details and I felt like I was watching a movie. I felt like I was there.  I have discovered a new author and want to read more from her. Overall a brilliant read.   Just FYI this does not contain any sex or swearing and only contains minimal violence.   source~ Publisher for review!   you can pick up the kindle book here   you can pick up the ebook here

Her Kind of Man by Elaine Cantrell

Is it possible she’s finally found Her Kind of Man?

Ross Williams has been in love with Kara Cochrane since they were kids so when Kara's fiancĂ© Brandon Miles cheats on her and calls off their wedding—Ross steps in to rescue the damsel in distress.

A heartbroken Kara just wants to get on with her life and hunky Ross provides her with a definite distraction—that is until she starts falling for him. Big time.

But a devastating family secret threatens to destroy everything that Kara holds dear—including her relationship with Ross.

Tifferz Take~
I highly enjoyable read that has lingered in mind my for weeks now.  So, can a relationship work with one person loving the other and one still getting over being dumped? You will have to read this story to find out!
I would like to say that I really like Ross he is such a great guy! I love when he steps up and takes care of Kara! Now Kara I like her and I say I was surprised at how many emotional blows she took. I was unsure on how Kara would handle these issues. I felt that Ms. Cantrell did a wonderful job developing Kara and Ross along with their families. The plot was filled with many surprises good and bad like real life. I felt that Kara grew the most in the story and out of everyone she needed to. I will say I was stunned with one of the choices Kara made and I was relieved when she changed her mind.
I only wish that we got to see Katie's story. Maybe Ms. Cantrell you will write it? I hope so as you create stories that stick. It would be a pleasure to read more from Elaine Cantrell!

Just FYI~ This does not contain any swearing or sex (just reference~ it is all behind closed doors.)
