Swim the River by Stephy Smith

Blurb-
Since Amelia ‘Falcon Woman’ Tucker was a small child, she heard the stories of how her mother was Rescued from the River by her father. Rising Wolf held her heart captive for years before he asked for her hand in marriage. Although the river had always called to her, she never knew how much she loved the stalwart Indian until she had to Swim the River to save him.

Tifferz Take-
This takes place in the late 1800's. I was swept back in time when life was much different than it is today. It was refreshing to read about Native Americans. In the story  we watch Falcon Woman and Rising Wolf  fall in love and make a life together. We also get to see how Falcon Woman's brother falls in love as well. I found it very hard to put this story down. Life back then was very hard and we get to see that. We also get a peek about fear of loosing a loved one and death of a loved one. Though we see heartache we also see lots of love and good things.  I think it is great that Ms. Smith did not sugar coat things in the story. This was my first novel by Ms. Smith and I will be checking for more from her. This does not contain any swearing or sex for those who are interested.
