Tiger's Voyage by Colleen Houck

Blurb-
With the head-to-head battle against the villainous Lokesh behind her, Kelsey confronts a new heartbreak: in the wake of his traumatic experience, her beloved Ren no longer remembers who she is. As the trio continues their quest by challenging five cunning and duplicitous dragons, Ren and Kishan once more vie for her affections--leaving Kelsey more confused than ever.

Fraught with danger, filled with magic, and packed with romance, Tiger's Voyage brings Kelsey and her two tiger princes one step closer to breaking the curse.

This fast-paced novel includes a sneak peek at Tiger's Destiny (Book 4)

Tifferz take-

You all know I love this series and feel everyone should read it. Each book gets better and better and this one does not disappoint. Colleen writing is pure magic and simply flawless. The story continues with new adventures and challenges await Kelsey, Ren and Kishan. I loved the dragon's and mermaid and the challenges they have to meet in order to break another part of the curse. It was also inter sting to have Kelsey work with Ren and Kishan on the challenges. I thought she would have to pick one. It makes sense and makes things very interesting. I love how Colleen has developed the characters. They are not the same as they were in book one. It is has been fun to watch them grow. So, you need to read Tiger's Curse and Tiger's Quest before you read Tigers Voyage. Colleen yet again leaves you wanting more at the end which I love and hate. You get your romance sprinkled with magic and packed with adventure mingled with danger. I am eagerly waiting for book 4 Tiger's Destiny which comes out July 2012! I must have series. Highly recommend for ages over 10. No bad language and just kissing.

Blurb:
Eleven years ago, Jem Catterick and Ralph McLeary fell deeply in love. They thought it would be forever, that they’d found their happy ending. As everyone agreed, they were the perfect couple. Then two became four, and an apartment became a house. Romantic nights out became sleepless nights in. And they soon found that life wasn’t quite so simple anymore. But through it all, Jem and Ralph still loved each other. Of course they did.

Now Jem is back at work part-time as a talent agent. Ralph, a successful painter, is struggling to come up with new, hopefully groundbreaking, work for his upcoming show. But the unimaginable has happened. Two people who were so right together are starting to drift apart And in the chaos of family life, Jem feels like she’s losing herself, while Ralph, stuck on the sidelines, feels like he’s lost his muse altogether. Something has to change. As they try to find a way back to each other, back to what they once had, they both become momentarily distracted—but maybe it’s not too late to recapture happily ever after…

Tifferz Take:
First I love the cover of this book! I also was so thrilled to read this book after reading the blurb! Lisa's writing is simply smashing. I read this chick lit summer romance in one sitting. I had to find out how things turned out for Ralph and Jem. I think Lisa did an awesome job with Ralph and I liked getting a look into his thoughts.
I did think that some of the choices that Ralph and Jem made were not the best. But I guess that makes things more interesting. This is a very witty story that does contain some language and some sex (not detailed) while not married. The only problem I had with this story is that things were resolved a little to quickly for me. This was my first book by Lisa and I did not know that it was a sequel to Ralph's Party. I had no problem reading and following this story, so it is a great stand alone read, but I may have to pick up the prequel Ralph's Party. I do recommend this to those who like romance and chick lit.

American Smile by Cody Young

Blurb:

American Smile weaves together a D-Day love story and a contemporary tale.
When Emma Rowland discovers that her family tree is a work of fiction, she is determined to uncover the truth, though it has been hidden for sixty-five years and few people are willing to talk.
The irresistible Tyler Robinson, an American aircraft mechanic, promises to help solve the wartime puzzle. It soon becomes clear that Tyler knows more about the mystery than he is willing to say, and that he has secrets of his own.
Together they follow the trail blazed by a reckless GI and his ‘blonde bombshell’ girl - a couple who fell in love in the months before the Normandy landings of 1944. A DNA test holds some surprises and the search takes Tyler and Emma to Paris, where their questions are finally answered, but what does the future hold for them both?

Tifferz Take:
This is a sweet and charming story. I loved the two romances going on. One in modern day and one during WWII. Cody has a way with words that wrap around you like a warm blanket. I enjoyed the plot and the story flowed flawlessly. American smile may cause a few tears as it pulls at your heart. But, it does have a happy ending! This does contain reference to sex and one scene that was not that detailed. If you do not care for that you can skip it easily. I would recommend it and I cant wait to get my hands on another Cody Young read. I hope you like it as much as I did.

Lonely Millionaire by Carol Grace

Blurb-
Dear Mr. Lonely....Mandy Clayton never answered personal ads, but this was one she couldn't resist and now she was falling for a guy she'd never met.
Adam Gray was not interested in a mail-order romance, but he was willing to write some love letters for his friend. Then he had to go "check out" the bride to be. Off he went on an undercover job at Mandy's Bed and Breakfast in a small California beach town. Adam was a good guy who always played by the rules, but one look at Mandy and he couldn't help it - he wanted her for himself! He wasn't there to romance his best friend's fiancee. He knew that. It would be wrong... He knew that too.

Lonely Millionaire is part of the Miramar Inn series. For more Miramar Inn books check out Almost Married and Wanted:Husband.

The Trove of the Passion Room by Marcia Lynn McClure

Blurb-
Sharlamagne Dickens cherished her family, was intrigued by the past, adored antiques, and enjoyed working at the antique store owned by her parents. Her life, like most, had been touched by tragedy and loss, yet she was happy. Though her life was not void of romance, it was void of a certain emotional passion. Still, she was young and assumed that one day some man might manage to sweep her off her feet. Sharlamagne did not expect to be entirely bowled over, however. And the day she first set eyes on Maxim Tanner, she was!
Elisaveta Tanner’s grandson, Maxim, was the dreamiest, most attractive archetypal male Sharlamagne and her sister, Gwen, had ever seen! Tall, dark, and illegally handsome, Maxim Tanner possessed not only fabulous looks, money, and the sweetest grandmother in the world but also a fair amount of local fame. He was gorgeous, clever, and pathetically out of reach for any average girl.
And so Sharlamagne went about her life happy and satisfied—for she had no idea what sort of emotional intensity the right man could inflame in her. She had no conception of how an age-old mystery and one man could converge to unleash a passion so powerful that it would be either the greatest gift she had ever known—or her final undoing.

Tifferz Take-
I have been waiting for this book forever and it was given to me as a gift from my mom. I was so excited to read this book. So, this story was just okay for me. This story did not reflect the great story telling that Marcia is known for.
I honestly think some of names did me in. I also felt that Marcia needed to develop Maxim character more and the drama in the story was anti-climactic. The story just did not come together for me. Lots of little things did not add up. I loved all the kissing! This story is clean like all of her books are. It does contain a few swear words. Marcia is an awesome writer and I hope her next book will reflect the great storytelling she is known for.

Josefina's Sin by Claudia H. Long

Blurb-
JOSEFINA’S SIN is a novel of motherhood, women’s rights, romance and scandal in the Spanish Viceroyal Court of 17th century Mexico. Author Claudia Long is a practicing attorney, and this novel grew out of her research for her Harvard honors thesis on the feminism of Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, a Mexican nun and poet of that time who wrote at the risk of persecution by the Spanish Inquisition. Long’s research and passion for this period has enabled her to vividly recreate this world JOSEFINA’S SIN.

Josefina, a young, sheltered, landowner’s wife, is invited by the Marquessa to visit the Spanish Royal Court. Unaware of the social customs of the Court, she finds herself fighting off the aggressive advances of the Marques as well as the judgment coming from the other ladies of the Court. She soon begins to discover a world outside of everything she has known through the provocative, feminist poetry of Sor Juana de la Cruz, as well as an illicit, passionate relationship with the Bishop of Puebla. Through it, Sor Juana de la Cruz becomes Josefina’s mentor and leads her through this treacherous, confusing, and ultimately physically and intellectually fulfilling world

Tifferz Take-

First off I love the cover of this book! I was excited to dive into Josefina's world. I got about a 100 pages in and had to put it down. I had a hard time with how the relationship that Josefina has with a Bishop developed. It became very intimate. (sexually) I know that that stuff happens, but I just don't care for it. So, that was my reason. I thought that Ms.Long did a great job taking the reader back in time. The story flowed very well from the beginning till I stopped. I will try another one of Ms. Long's stories in the future. Just because I did not finish this book does not mean you will not enjoy this story!
