An Outrageous Proposal by April Kihlstrom

From the Cover:

For a beautiful woman, marriage equals imprisonment! Wishing to remain mistress of her own fate, she accepts a handsome man's scandalous suggestion: marry and then publicly split up, which would take them out of the marriage mart for good! But she never dreamed she would actually fall in love with a man intent on jilting her...or is he?

Tifferz Take:

This is a fun read. No thought required. The characters are like able and plot okay, but starts to fizzle out towards the end. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the ideas Penelope gets into her head. I did not know this was the last book in the series. I had no problem following along. I think the book stands alone just fine.

Tifferz Take:

Rachel writes another great story with heartache, betrayal, and love! I was drawn into this romantic mystery quickly. I fell in love with Blake Stanley, what is not to love he is a perfect hero that has a little bit of bad boy in him. I felt the characters were well developed and the book had a good plot and flow. I did not have to skim any of this book. This is a clean read with just kissing. If you like historical romance then pick this up today. I look forward to more stories from Rachel Rager. Highlander Series (Anna, Rachel & Charlet) by Marti Talbott

From the cover:
ANNA -- In love with a woman he had only seen once and could not find, the Highlander, Kevin MacGreagor was growing older and needed a wife to give him sons. No other woman pleased him, even the daughters of other lairds, so he finally settled for Anna sight unseen. But when his men went to meet her guard, she was all alone and badly beaten. Who could have done such a thing and why?

RACHEL -- had a dark secret and even she didn’t know what it was. She was seventeen, determined to become as good a warrior as any Highlander and was firmly against taking a husband. Connor had other ideas. He loved Rachel and when a rival clan took her, he thought he would lose his mind. How would he ever get her back and if he did, would her dark secret separate them forever?

CHARLET -- The King of England asked the Highlander, Kevin MacGreagor, to hide a baby girl and save her life. But sixteen years later, someone discovered where she was. To Blair Cameron fell the duty of hiding and protecting Charlet. It was not an easy task. She was furious, head-strong and determined to run from him. Could Blair keep her alive? And if he did, could he keep himself from falling in love with her?

Tifferz Take:

My friend recommended this book so I purchased this book of three short stories for kindle! These are enjoyable quick reads. It was fun to revisit Anna and Kevin through the other two books. A great romance with action and mystery. Marti has a talent to draw you into the tale and keep you interested the entire time. I felt like I was part of the MacGreagor clan.

A couple flaws. First the women leaving got old by the third book. It was justified the first time around. I really find it hard to believe that Anna would leave after 13 years of marriage. Second Anna not redecorating for 13 years of marriage. I thought was a little extream. Last I felt the heart beat comforting thing was a little over done. Other than those three small things the book was great.

A great buy and I will be reading this book again. I am glad to have found a new clean romance author. I look forward to reading more from Marti!
