Princess and the Hound by Mette Ivie Harrison

From the Cover:
He is a prince and heir to a kingdom threatened on all sides, possessor of the forbidden animal magic.
She is a princess from a rival kingdom, the daughter her father never wanted, isolated from all except her hound.

In this lush and beautiflly written fairy-tale romance, a prince, a princess, and two kingdoms are joined in the aftermath of a war. Proud, stubborn, and bound to marry for duty, George and Beatrice will steal your heart- but will they fall in love?

Tifferz Take:
I thought this book was a very creative beauty and the beast with a twist. The story had a great pace to it I read the book in an afternoon. I think my daughter would really enjoy it. It had magic, adventure, mystery and romance. Over all an enjoyable read. I look forward to reading more from Mette Ivie Harrison. If you like Shannon Hale or Robin McKinley you will enjoy this author.
