England 1816. Bri has been running for years. Just when she thinks she may have escaped those pursuing her, she finds herself thrown into Newgate Prison...where Adam finds her. Hired by Bri's family, he is determined to return the heiress posthaste. When it becomes clear that her family does NOT have her best interests at heart, she must accept Adam's help, something her pride will not allow.

Tifferz Take:
I enjoyed this book even though it has to be the darkest book I have read so far. I was surprised that it did not bother me. This is the first book I have read of Jaimey Grant. I can tell you it will not be the last. I felt the characters are very well written and you could understand their feelings and what caused their actions. The story had a really good flow to it and was written really well. (This book did have rape and abuse in it.) I purchased this book.

The Hourglass Door by Lisa Mangum

From the Cover:
Abby Edmunds's senior year of high school is going according to plan: good friends, cute boyfriend, and college applications in the mail. Tifferz Take:
The Hourglass Door was a very slow read. I felt the story really did not get interesting till 3/4 of the way into the book. The ending was really unrealistic. It was a clean! Just kissing. Lets just say not my favorite book and won't be reading this one again. I am glad my friend let me read it.

The Hunger Games(book 1) by Suzanne Collins

From the Cover:
Katniss is a 16-year-old girl living with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of what used be the United States. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games." The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When her sister is chosen by lottery, Katniss steps up to go in her place.

Tifferz Take:
First of all this book is not something I would normally pick up. My good friend told me I had to read it. She was right. I was sucked into the world of Katniss. I stayed up all night reading this one. It was worth every minute. Their is violence in this book, but not so over the top as to be distracting. I will say that at the end of this book leaves you hanging. I highly recommend this book! My friend let me barrow this but am going to be buying it. Yup it was that good.
